This "fish fry" is an alternative Friday night street party to Gros Islet's. Locals cook fish, lobster, crab cakes, conch, shrimp and octopus stew at booths along the waterfront street, and you dine at communal tables. Though there's loud music and drinking, it's less intense and more family-friendly than Gros Islet's weekly knees-up, with more focus on the food.

A weekly seafood fiesta, held in a rural fishing village in Dennery, Saint Lucia. The Atlantic Ocean side of the Caribbean island comes alive as Saint Lucian delicacies (like fire roasted fish eggs with garlic) and a diverse offering of seafoods are served up. Local music such as soca and zouk compliment the rural setting...odd but harmless characters included. The event is hosted by the Dennery Seafood Vendors Association, mostly women, who prepare creole dishes using methods passed down through a lineage of fisherfolk but with modern edge and ingenuity. SAMPLE THE SEA.
This casual bar/restaurant sits on wooden decking over the water at the back of Marigot Bay - it's a really beautiful spot. You can arrive on the goes-on-demand ferry from below the Capella Marigot Bay hotel, or drive down to JJ's Paradise Resort (not very paradisiacal at the moment, it must be said), then follow a boardwalk through the mangroves to the bar.
